Manchester City’s historic Champions League quarter-final qualification

15 Mar Manchester City’s historic Champions League quarter-final qualification

March 15th, 2016 shall forever be a day to remember in Manchester City’s history, as they secured a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the very first time.

The first leg at the Etihad stadium saw Yaya curl home an impressive last minute goal to seal a 3-1 victory over Dynamo Kiev and the second leg’s 0-0 score line in Ukraine meant the Sky Blues were safely through.

City are just the seventh different English team to reach the last eight of the competition and Yaya will hope to help his team go all the way, with a visit to French giants Paris Saint-Germain up next on April 6th.
