13 Mar Message of support after the Ivory Coast tragedy
In the light of the tragic shootings at L’Etoile du Sud hotel in the Ivory Coast on March 13th, 2016, Yaya took to social media to offer his condolences to the grieving people of his home country in a show of support.
Yaya also paid tribute to the way that the terrible situation was promptly addressed by the Ivorian president Alassane Ouattara.
It is with a heavy heart that I learnt of the tragedy that befell my country on Sunday afternoon. I am saying prayers for all the mourning families and offer comfort and support to the Ivorian population. Equally, the president of the republic who made the effort to manage the situation for the tranquility and peace in the Ivory Coast. May God watch over the Ivory Coast.
