Yaya Toure wished his Muslim fans and followers a very happy Eid-ul-Adha on social media.

The day is widely considered the holiest day of the Muslim calendar and is marked by a public holiday in Yaya’s home country of Ivory Coast.

Yaya is a proud Muslim, publicly declining the traditional Man of the Match bottle of champagne following his excellent performance against Newcastle in 2012. As a result of this, the Premier League soon introduced a non-alcoholic beverage to celebrate Muslim players.
